Program Overview

This faculty-led program to London England for the 38th London New Year’s Day Parade in January 2024 is open to Marching Pride Members only. Students are required to complete “Marching Pride - MUSI 118, 218, 318, 418, 518, or 618” for a minimum of one credit in the Fall 2023 semester and remain a member in good standing – attending all performance and rehearsal obligations. Students must be enrolled in Selected Topics MUSI 198 88 during Winter session to be considered for this magical marching experience abroad.

The program will be centered on performing in one of the world’s largest New Year’s Day parades. With over 500,000 spectators in attendance annually, the 2.0-2.5 mile parade will be internationally televised to an audience of over 350 million people! In addition to performing alongside world class musical groups, dancers, and more, students will have the opportunity to see the sights and sounds of London as the world rings in the new year!

Participants may explore their financial aid options since enrollment in the above listed winter session course is required to participate in this program. While financial aid could be used to cover your costs, it may reduce your refund or you may need to borrow to cover these additional costs.  Financial Aid eligibility cannot be guaranteed.

Applicants are responsible for meeting with Financial Aid Office to discuss financial aid options.  They can be reached at 724-738-2044 or financial.aid@sru.edu.  You can also book a phone appointment or zoom meeting at:
