CEA CAPA Paris, France - French Language Studies at Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne
(Outgoing Program)
Immerse into French language at one of France’s most well-known language schools. Attend class with other international students at the Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne, a center dedicated to teaching French to students from around the world. Semester and academic year programs are designed for students who speak French at the high-intermediate level and above. Along with language classes, choose from elective courses that increase your proficiency while deepening your understanding of French culture. The summer program is designed for students at all language levels and incorporates two components: language (cours pratiques) and phonetics. All courses are taught in French and according to the traditional French instruction method.

Founded in 1919 by la Société des Amis de la Sorbonne, the Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne is today an independent institution of higher education in France with institutional ties to Sorbonne Université. Students from around the world come to take courses in French language and civilization taught by trained FLE (French as a foreign language) instructors. Students will receive a transcript from Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne upon completion of their program.

Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to study abroad, however, some SRU international partner institutions may require a higher GPA
There is no class level requirement for study abroad at SRU
Disciplinary files will be requested from the Office of Student Conduct, for each applicant, and will be taken into consideration during the review process.
Please make sure to check with the Financial Aid (if applicable) for academic and other requirements that pertain to potentially receiving aid during your study abroad experience.

Once you have completed all required items, and your application has been reviewed and approved, you will be instructed to begin an application directly in the CEA application portal.
