Program Overview

Due to COVID-19, the Summer program is pending final confirmation by Universidad de Alcala. The status of the program will be communicated to applicants during the application process. You can learn more about the COVID-19 protocol in place at our partner UAH at the following website. Currently, the institution is offering students both an onsite/in-person program for all students. Please consult with the Office for Global Engagement for more information about each of these programs. Universidad de Alcala is located in Alcala De Henares, Spain (just outside of Madrid) and is one of SRU's partner programs.

Program Requirements

  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to study abroad, however, some SRU international partner institutions may require a higher GPA
  • There is no class level requirement for study abroad at SRU
  • Disciplinary files will be requested from the Office of Student Conduct, for each applicant, and will be taken into consideration during the review process.
  • Please make sure to check with the Financial Aid (if applicable) for academic and other requirements that pertain to potentially receiving aid during your study abroad experience.

Accommodation and Meals

Students participating in the onsite summer program will live in housing arranged by the institution. This program offers students the option to live with a host family (meals included) or residence hall. Due to COVID-19, host family arrangements for summer 2021 are pending. More information regarding housing arrangements will be announced in the coming months.
