The University of Limerick is located in Limerick, Ireland, and is one of SRU's exchange partners. Program dates for academic year 2020-2021 are as follows:

Autumn Semester:
Orientation: Commences 31st August 2020
Teaching term: 7th September – 27th November 2020
Examination period: 5th – 18t December 2020
Results available: 21st January 2021

Spring Semester:
Orientation: Week Commencing 18th January 2021
Teaching term: 25th January – 23rd April 2021
Examination period: 4th May – 17th May 2021
Results available: 21st June 2021

Program Requirements

  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to study abroad, however, some SRU international partner institutions may require a higher GPA
  • There is no class level requirement for study abroad at SRU
  • Disciplinary files will be requested from the Office of Student Conduct, for each applicant, and will be taken into consideration during the review process.
  • Please make sure to check with the Financial Aid (if applicable) for academic and other requirements that pertain to potentially receiving aid during your study abroad experience.

Accommodation and Meals

To learn more about housing at Limerick, click here. Students will live in on campus housing at the majority of our SRU international partner institutions. Meals are on your own. A limited number of institutions offer host family programs (meals included) or off campus housing.
